Step-by-step Anonymous FTP via browser
How to upload files via Anonymous
FTP method
Step 1:
Suppose your username to cPanel is "yourdom" . Connect to the
internet as usual, launch your internet browser and type
ftp://yourdom@66.246.98.87 . You
will be prompt for your username and password. Type in the correct one
and then click "Log On" button. It will take a while for web folders
searching. Upon searching completed, you will see a web folder
containing all your web files and folders. Do not delete any files if
you don't know.
Step 2:
Double click on the folder named "Public_html". This is the place
where all your web files will be uploaded to. You may see a temporary
index.html files already in the folder. You must later on upload your
own index.html file to replace this in order to display your homepage
correctly. Now just reduce the folder size by mouse because we are
going to open another browser window. Let this reduced browser window
stay on the right side of your window screen.
Step 3:
Double click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. Double click
on "C" drive to find your file location to be uploaded. Browse until
you find the correct folder to be published. Reduce the browser window
size and move it side by side with the first browser window so that it
is easy to drag and drop files later.
Step 4:
To transfer files or folder, just highlight it (all, partially or just
one) from the left window (files from your computer) and drag it over
to the internet browser window on the right. You will see the progress
of files being transferred. This is similar to your normal
inter-folder files transfer process. Most of the computer user find
this is the easiest method to FTP your files to our server.
If you don't familiar with drag and drop method, after highlighting
the files to be transferred, copy it and paste it on to the web
window. That's it.
