Case A) can be used to secure any subdomains like https://www.yourdomain.com/sub1 , https://www.yourdomain.com/sub2 ... but not CASE B or C.
Case B) can be used to secure any subdomains like https://yourdomain.com/sub1, https://yourdomain.com/sub2 ... but not CASE A or C.
Case C) can be used to secure any subdomains like https://secure.yourdomain.com/sub1, https://secure.yourdomain.com/sub2 but not https://safe.yourdomain.com/sub1 or others.

You must decide properly which type you are going to use because once registered, it cannot be amended. 1 certificate can only secure 1 domain style - A, B or C .
